Manual Operation
Direct drive handwheel (or separate geared handwheel on larger models) provides reliable emergency manual operation in case of power failure. The low-speed, padlockable manual/auto clutch can be safely operated even when the motor is running.Note: Motor operation always takes precedence unless the manual/auto lever is deliberately locked in the manual position. Both direct-drive and separate geared handwheels feature a lost-motion “hammering” effect.
Valve Position Control
Hall-effect magnetic pulse system accurately measures and controls actuator travel without the use of gears or switches.
Motor
Synchronous protector prevents valve damage due to incorrect wiring.SQ’s unique “synchronous protector” automatic phase rotation adjustment device prevents valve damage caused by incorrect power wiring, ensuring the three-phase motor of SQ always operates with the correct phase sequence.
Terminal Box
The separately sealed terminal box maintains the integrity of the actuator seal even when the terminal box cover is opened for on-site wiring.
