The S-Series intelligent electric actuators from SCIYON (Nanjing Sciyon Wisdom Technology Group Co., Ltd., stock code 002380, founded in 1993, listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in 2010, national-level manufacturing single champion) have been on the market since 2008 and comprise three categories: Starfish intelligent, Diamond intelligent variable-speed, and Grampus marine intelligent. The S-Starfish intelligent series is the main product line of the S-Series, integrating an absolute-position encoder, LCD display, magnetic-control technology, fieldbus, infrared remote control, Bluetooth wireless transmission and control technologies, widely used in power, petroleum, papermaking, chemical, steel, cement, shipbuilding and water treatment industries.

Note: K = on/off type, M = modulating type; the SYK8XXX series is formed by stacking SYK2XXX~SYK5XXX with gearboxes, with maximum control torque up to 30,000Nm; common output speeds include 24/48/96rpm.

Unique Design

• Independently developed absolute encoder (invention patent ZL 2019 1 1234391.2): absolute position acquisition via planetary gear transmission, control accuracy below 0.5%; compact, free of light decay, unaffected by dust, tolerant of high working temperature
• Sunflower-disk wiring with double sealing: isolates the interior from the outside, protecting the motor and control circuits; 100% air-tightness test on the electrical compartment
• Complete protection system: high-performance MCU monitors module circuits in real time, measures motor current/voltage for torque protection and motor temperature for over-temperature protection
• Core units self-mastered: magnetic encoder, forward/reverse solid-state relays etc. are all independently designed and produced
• Airplane-porthole display window: double-layer window with thermal insulation to prevent condensation
• Electronic password lock: mode switching requires a user-configurable password in addition to the mechanical lock
• Automatic pressure adjustment in the transmission chamber: pressure caused by temperature rise is released automatically; seals require no replacement during the product life cycle

• IP68 protection: standard products are rain/dust proof (outdoor type: 2m for 96h); the waterproof type can be submerged to 20m for 96 hours with full-stroke electrical operation available during submersion
• High-precision valve-position acquisition: the encoder is coupled to the output shaft with zero backlash; accuracy tested at 0.39% by the Shanghai Institute
• Intelligent self-check: on power-up all functional components are monitored; on failure the actuator is inhibited and local/remote alarms are raised
• Lightning-proof design: tested for surge protection, safer in thunderstorms and open-air installations
• Manual-priority design: high-speed handwheel drive; manual operation without power remains safe even with remote commands present
• Strong anti-interference: EMC industrial level 3, withstands ±2kV burst interference and 6kV ESD

• Precise torque protection: measures real output torque from motor current, voltage and flux — no torque switches, bidirectional independent setting
• Travel limit protection: SY uses electronic travel protection; ST provides mechanical + electronic double protection, both bidirectionally configurable
• Phase-loss, over-temperature (embedded thermal sensor), over-current, instantaneous-reversal delay, interlock, menu password lock and valve un-jamming protections (first over-torque automatically clears valve blockage)

• Active-emission LCD without backlight panel, large viewing angle; valve position, torque and command displays plus valve characteristic curves; high-brightness LEDs at closed/intermediate/open positions
• Chinese/English menus: basic settings, advanced settings, diagnostics, Bluetooth settings, factory settings, alarm descriptions
• Infrared remote and Bluetooth APP: scan the built-in QR code to download the APP for parameter viewing/modification, wireless program download and cover-free upgrade
• Four magnetic buttons on the local panel (mode, open, close, stop) with jog/hold modes
